About Meditation

How long should I meditate?

Practicing meditation for just a few minutes a day can help with mental clarity and allow the body to feel calmer. When you are beginning to practice it is important to be consistent. Schedule an amount of time that will work with your schedule then you may add time as needed.

How often should I meditate?

With so many of us living such stressful lives and balancing so much it would be best to mediate daily. The key is quality and not quantity. So, if you can create a daily practice of 3, 5 or 10 or minutes a day this would be perfect! Try to keep it around the same time every day. If you find yourself not having the time and skipping your sessions, switch to a different time but do all you can to be consistent!

When will I see the benefits of meditation?

Everyone is different based on their levels of stress but most of my client’s state that after the first time they feel so much different and after a few sessions they begin to have a different outlook on life. Studies have shown that a 10-minute session can improve your attention and focus. Health experts have suggested that meditation may play a role in lowering blood pressure, decreasing anxiety or depression, and reducing insomnia. There is even some evidence that it may be able to help you to stop smoking.

Where is the best place to meditate?

In my opinion ANYWHERE! (Work, a parked car, in the bathroom, walking the dog, park bench, coffee shop, jail, gym, animal shelter, church, etc.) The idea is to find a quiet comfortable place for meditation! Finding a place that is completely quiet may be difficult so know that interruptions may happen but if they do, deal with whatever may have occurred and just go back. In time you will master this technique and outside noises and interruptions will no longer bother your overall focus.

Curious as to why Noēma?

The word noema derives from the Greek word νόημα meaning "thought", or "what is thought about" As for the symbol being used as an "O" This is called a UNALOME. The spirals are meant to symbolize the twists and turns in life, and the straight lines the moment one reaches enlightenment or peace and harmony. My only edit was to tighten the base spiral to a Hypnosis spiral.
